  1. Ability to choose what targets 0 out and which targets do not 0 out or "override" 0 out criteria (especially for duration based targets)

    During skill acquisition duration targets should not automatically 0 out if the target were not run for the day. It skews the data to seem as though the client attempted the skill but was unable to engage in the skill at all. If the skill were not attempted then it should not show as a 0.

  2. automatic updates

    On the older version of the Catalyst app, if the BCBA made changes on Datafinch, they immediately showed up on the app. I only needed to completely log out and login to select new students. 20.7.24 The updates do not automatically show up. I like the older version better.

  3. Make it possible to change font size on all programs at once OR make font size in teaching instructions the size it was before last update!

    The font size is too small on the mobile app after this last update! And in order to change it, I would like to be able to change the font size of all programs including maintenance at once. Or if you can just make the font size the same as it used to be so my BTs can actually read it!

  4. Momentum probes

    Is it possible to further define the targets included in momentum probes on a program-by-program basis? For example, if I am teaching community helpers I only want to use mastered targets from within the community helpers program as momentum targets. I also want the therapist to be able to score these probes as maintenance. It looks like I can only choose from all mastered targets in all programs or all mastered targets in weekly maintenance, but not filter by specific program or assign different momentum probe targets for different programs.

  6. Adding an option for videos to play on a device via the app

    With COVID going on and wearing masks, there are many barriers to teaching communication (i.e. echoics and oral motor imitation). If videos can be played via the app (rather than on another device) as video models, it would greatly help with taking accurate data and ease for techs.

  9. Feeding

    We use Catalyst for skill acquisition session, but would love to also use it for feeding sessions.

    Instead of targets, we would have up to four different foods. When presented, the therapist would be able to mark if the bite was accepted (rapidly or not), if any target behaviors (e.g., expel, packing, inappropriate mealtime behaviors) also occurred during the bite presentation.

    For graphing, we currently graph 5-bite sessions by % of bites with rapid acceptance, inappropriate mealtime behaviors, gagging, coughing, emesis, wipes, expels, and mouth cleans.

  10. Make prompts more accurate

    Set up prompting schedule so that all prompts are not shown at each level. For example, if a prompt schedule has three levels:

    Full verbal model (FV)
    Partial verbal model (PV)
    Independent (I)

    And the student moves between the prompt level based on behavior, the options for the therapist on Catalyst should be + and - (you could also add +p or -p for prompted responses, but I care less about that).

    What it currently is doing is showing I, PV, FV for each prompt level with the current one yellow. However, the student should never have the opportunity to…

  11. Ability to enter percent for programs

    Some targets either vary in the number of trials or are more "permanent product" in nature and it would be helpful to enter a % correct vs each trial in the app. Can you make this an option? Also some targets now have 20 or more trials (ie PEAK) and use an entirely separate data sheet. If technicians can enter the % in the app it would be so helpful.

  12. Setting data for a set number of trials then data stops and not graphed unless all trials are collected.

    A way to stop data from being collected once the specified number of trials are collected. In addition the data doesn't graph unless all trials are collected on. Ex. If I set a target at DTT 5 trials, then the app shouldn't allow any more than 5 trials and shouldn't graph unless 5 trials are collected. Or could continue to collect the data but only graph the first 5 trials.

  13. Differentiate Location at Start of Session

    I need the ability to differentiate data between locations for patients who have sessions in multiple locations. For example, if a client splits time between mom's house and dad's house (and is working on the same targets at each), the instructor needs to be able to select where session is happening at the start of session. That way, when looking at the data, I can easily compare, in one graph, the data from mom's house and the data from dad's house (as well as the general data trend combining both).

  14. Prompt schedules only apply on targets once they are opened.

    When prompt schedules are assigned to a target, the prompt schedule will only apply when the target is open. If the target is in baseline or maintenance, the baseline and maintenance prompt codes will be applied to the target.

    As of right now, when a target is assigned to a prompt schedule and then placed in baseline, the prompt codes associated with that prompt schedule appear in the app (although they are not color coded).

  15. A way to copy a target from one "skill area" to another

    An easier way to move or copy targets from one "skill area" to another. At my site, we have 5 main skill areas (cognitive functioning, adaptive functioning, behavioral self regulation, communication, and learning and play) with the addition of a 6th being "generalization". Under this tab we like to work on maintenance targets with the family to promote generalization. Right now we have to manually type in the maintenance target into the generalization tab as if it were a completely new target - which can get very time consuming!

  16. Behavior Momentum - Forcing To The Top Of Acquisition List

    When utilizing behavior momentum, after the therapist scores each acquisition goal, it forces the therapist to the top of the acquisition list thereby forcing the therapist to scroll back down to where they were every single time they score a target. If the acquisition list could not move and just stay where they had it I think the speed of trials as well as the accuracy and user happiness would be a lot higher!

    Baseline and Maintenance should not have prompting. It should be independent/ error or correct/incorrect. Targets and in baseline and maintenance are typically not prompted.

  18. Allow targets to be seen on the therapist/app interface even if there are no DTT targets in the program

    Currently, targets within a program that only includes task analyses, frequency recording, or anything else that isn't DTT don't show up in the therapist interface. Apparently, there must be a DTT target in the program for the targets to show up in the therapist interface. This is a huge problem because it may force supervisors to program for something that is unnecessary or inappropriate.

  19. Ability to select multiple prompts from same trial

    Users would like to see the ability to select more than 1 prompt during the same trial. If they want to customize a programs so that they could select whether or not there were behaviors during that trial but the client responded independently, they could select "Independent" and "With Behaviors."

  20. International phonetic alphabet

    IPA symbols are not currently supported and show up as question marks. I use this frequently in programming in order for therapists to be prompting the correct sound.
