    Under setup>demographics there is a place for a "student code" this will allow you to use a code name for your clients.

    Student Code – This is a alphanumeric identifier you can use to ensure student confidentiality. If the code is used, it will be displayed on the device instead of the student's name.

    If I understand correctly what you are asking for that playlist function should work for you. This feature allows you to have more then just a DTT and Baseline button on a students account on the app.
